The Art of Being Present
“Joanna’s Breema bodywork is a deeply healing experience.”

Breema Bodywork is done fully clothed on a padded floor, using gentle stretches with a balance of gentleness and firmness, nurturing holds, and a variety of playful, rhythmic movements. It is beneficial for anybody who wants to bring more balance and harmony into their life.
Unique in its inherent expression of the Nine Principles of Harmony, Breema eliminates the need for any force by the practitioner. Instead, it uses the natural mechanics, rhythm, and relaxed weight of the practitioner’s body to create a precise and dynamic balance that is profoundly comfortable, enjoyable, and beneficial for both recipient and practitioner.
Breema accepts every condition of the body as a starting point towards greater vitality. Breema’s nonjudgmental approach supports the body’s instinctive healing and vitalizing forces, allowing us to experience a dynamic state of balance and harmony.
“I always experience Joanna’s Breema bodywork as quietly joyful. As the session unfolds Joanna’s presence seems to coalesce and strengthen, and I feel an abundant flow of energy and intention into her hands, which positively radiate with warmth. Under the strength and guidance of her whole being I become aware of the weight of my own limbs and the way they sink into currents of movement created between us. At the end of the session I’m left with a sense of stillness and nourishment.”
